About Rimsha

Care that treats you as a whole person.

You are not a diagnosis. You're a person with a history, strengths, and a say in where this goes.

Rimsha Qureshi holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #29320) in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

Rimsha works with adults, youth and young adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance use concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.

A significant focus of her clinical experience has been supporting individuals recovering from trauma & PTSD, addiction & substance use, and concurrent mental health challenges. She also works with clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents (ICBC recovery) and other life-altering events, helping them navigate the emotional, psychological, and functional impacts of injury and recovery.

“You are not a diagnosis. You're a person with a history, strengths, and a say in where this goes.”

Her approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and client-centred. She integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, psychoeducation, harm reduction principles, and recovery-oriented approaches, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals.

Fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi, Rimsha is committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives. Virtual therapy designed to feel grounded, safe, and comfortable from your own quiet space.

Approach & Modalities

The tools I draw from — and when I use them.

I don't apply one framework to every client. Treatment is built around what you actually need.

CBT

Identifying and shifting thought and behaviour patterns that can keep anxiety, depression, or conflict cycles in place.

Motivational Interviewing

A collaborative approach that builds your own motivation for change, especially useful in addiction and substance use recovery.

Solution-Focused Therapy

Short-term, goal-oriented work that focuses on what's already working and builds toward achievable next steps.

Psychoeducation & Harm Reduction

Practical understanding of what's happening, paired with harm reduction and recovery-oriented principles.

Direct billing may be available for eligible plans through Pacific Blue Cross, participating providers on the TELUS eClaims network (such as Sun Life, Canada Life, and Manulife), Provider Connect, and ICBC.
